Public Notice - Coronavirus (COVID-19) Safety Notice & Visiting Restrictions

We ask you, the patient, not to attend the hospital without contacting the hospital department that you are attending first, in the following circumstances:
- If you have had any new onset of symptoms of Covid-19 in the last 10 days.
- If you have been diagnosed with Covid-19 in the last 10 days.
- If you have been advised that you are a close contact of a person with Covid-19 in the last 10 days.

Please feel free to contact the Infection Prevention and Control Department on (021) 4926611/4926381 to discuss 8am-5pm Monday to Friday.

The Outpatient department has a routine service. To ensure patient safety and to comply with social distancing, please do not arrive early for your appointment but arrive on time.
Masks remain mandatory in all healthcare environments and are provided if required on entry to the hospital.

We apologise for any inconvenience to our patients but we do this in the interests of all our patients and staff, as per Infection Prevention and Control and Public Health guidance.

We at the South Infirmary-Victoria University Hospital are committed to providing the highest quality service to all our patients in a friendly, safe, and caring environment. We aim to provide individual patient centred care to each patient and their families. We have a total designated bed complement of 192 beds and cater for up to 38,400 admissions and 72,500 outpatient attendances each year.

We are the Regional Center for ENT, Dermatology, Elective Orthopaedic, Ophthalmology (In patient & Day Cases) & Chronic Pain services and provide a significant role in the provision of Oncology, General Surgery, Rheumatology, Endocrinology, Plastic Surgery, Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, Elective Gynaecology, Radiology and Anaesthesiology services.

The SIVUH is a smoke free campus.
