Many of our service users have disabilities. We want to make sure your hospital visit is as comfortable as possible.

You may feel nervous about coming to hospital.

Do not worry we will look after you really well.

Here are a few ways we can make your hospital visit easier for you.

Tell us how we can make your hospital visit easier for you at your outpatient appointment.

If you have a disability or additional needs please let us know.

If there is anything that would make your hospital visit easier for you please phone us at least one week before you arrive.

This will give us time to plan and prepare for your hospital visit.

We are now introducing Health Passports for all patients with Intellectual Disabilities and all children. Please watch the video below to learn more about how Health Passports can improve your hospital visit.

Hospital passports are available on our website.

If you do not have a hospital passport please print one from our website.

Fill in this passport and bring it with you to hospital.

If you have comfort items that help you please bring them to hospital with you.

You might bring one of the following items

A weighted blanket

Ear Defenders

A teddy

A book to read

Headphones to listen to music

You might like to bring something that is not on this list and that is ok too

Please do not bring anything valuable to hospital
